With an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country, a resurgence of hospitalizations is being attributed to more transmissible mutations of the virus, like the Delta variant. The State of California, New York City, and the Department of Veteran Affairs have been among the first to announce plans to regularly test unvaccinated employees and advise masks for employees and workers in health care and high-risk congregate settings.
